Running the world’s biggest MailChimp group on Facebook leads to lots of questions being asked. Whether it’s about list structure, email formatting or automation, there’s a wide variety of subjects. One question that seems to come out more than most is about using forms to capture information WITHOUT the person knowing – such as tracking information on which form they actually filled out.
This is easily achievable when using hidden groups, and in this video I show how to create a MailChimp form with a hidden field.
Thanks for watching and hope you found it useful.
Thanks Robin. This is great. Unfortunately I can’t read the code properly on the video. Is it possible to put the snippets of code you have written/changed somewhere where it is readable?
That’s what I’ve been looking for all along. The “tagging” when someone signs up for a certain group without them seeing my 7 options, which makes it quite overwhelming. Your video just gave me the missing piece of the puzzle. Thanks, Robin. 😉
I found this extremely useful, thank you.
I do have a question though, what if I am adding the form to Facebook so it is not an embedded form
